The build quality is really good with this twin size bed. We looked in a lot of furniture stores and this one was WAY better and much more reasonably priced than most that we saw. The fabric on the headboard and side rails is thick and not likely to rip. The middle of the frame has metal bars and several wood slats that will support any weight of mattress and hopefully not too many rowdy 11 year old's jumping on it! It arrived in one box that was easy to carry into the room and the set up on the frame was really easy. (Pro tip: I had an Allen wrench that I cut off the end, where it curves at a 90-degree angle, so that it was one straight piece that could fit into my electric drill...set the chuck on a low setting so that I did not overtighten and then finished tightening the bolts by hand). The height of the mattress on the top of the frame and the significant support from the slats and metal bars means that you do NOT need a box spring. The height of the headboard is adjustable. My daughter loves the design! For this price, I am shocked at the quality and design. For someone that was nervous about buying a bed online without seeing it, I am REALLY happily impressed. Thanks!
