Let me start by saying that I have terrible feet. I've got bunions and hammertoes and things seem to be going east and west instead of north and south. That being said, I wanted a shoe that had some support but I didn't want the bulkiness of an athletic shoe - in order words, I wanted a low profile shoe that was a bit cute. I've been lucky with Ecco shoes in the past. This shoe is perfect for me. I normally take a size 8 so I bought size 39. Again, perfect. The toe box is wide enough to accommodate my every which way toes and although I haven't inserted my orthodics, I just walked two miles and have no pain whatsoever. The inner sole is removable if I wanted to use my orthodics. Also, my skin is incredibly sensitive and seldom do I find a shoe that doesn't scrape against my foot and cause blisters. I didn't even wear a no-show sock and my feet are in great condition. Very, very happy with this purchase.
