The Xpedo Ambix Platform SPD pedal has a dual function design that allows you to decide whether you want to ride flat or without a clipless. One side has 8 pins that provide plenty of traction, while the other side has an oversized claw for the front that makes it easy to attach. The Posi-Lock micro-adjustable holding system allows you to fine-tune and let go of your entry. The flat side with adjustable needle heights allows excellent traction with any shoe style. The Xpedo Ambix Platform SPD pedal has been designed with a wider Q factor that allows ample clearance between the shoe and the crank arm. Available in Black, White, Silver and Oil Slick.

Lightweight and with a large platform. I think the large platform helps with comfort, even though with being clipped-in. I like the iridescence. Distance road cyclists generally don’t use SPDs, but, I bought these for a guided trip where I could have the flexibility to pedal with flat shoes for an in-town event.
